A Practice Built Around Insurance Law
Larkpoint was established to address a gap in the market — specialised, accessible insurance law advisory for Malaysian policyholders and the industry participants who serve them.
Back to HomeFocused on Insurance. Grounded in Malaysian Law.
Larkpoint was founded in Kuala Lumpur with a straightforward purpose: to provide legal advisory that is genuinely helpful to people navigating the Malaysian insurance system. Insurance matters — whether a stalled claim, a coverage dispute, or a compliance query — often involve complex policy language and regulatory frameworks that are unfamiliar to those outside the profession.
Our practice draws on experience with the Financial Services Act 2013, Bank Negara Malaysia circulars, and the operational realities of Malaysian general insurance. We work with individual policyholders who have encountered difficulty with their insurers, and with insurance companies and intermediaries who need considered regulatory advice.
The name Larkpoint reflects an attitude — a vantage point that offers clarity and perspective, without pretension. We aim to be the kind of advisory you can speak to plainly, and that speaks plainly back.

Mission & Values
Our Mission
To make insurance law accessible and understandable for those who need it — whether they are challenging a denied claim or building a compliant insurance operation.
Transparency
We explain what we are doing and why. Fees, strategy, and realistic outcomes are discussed openly at the outset — and revised openly if circumstances change.
Consideration
Legal matters intersect with people's real lives. We approach every client situation with care — aware that behind each policy dispute is a person or organisation under pressure.

Insurance Law Advisory in Kuala Lumpur
The Malaysian insurance landscape sits within a layered regulatory environment — shaped by the Financial Services Act 2013, Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines, and an evolving body of judicial decisions. Larkpoint works within this environment daily, advising on claim matters, policy interpretation questions, and compliance requirements that arise for policyholders, insurers, and agents across Malaysia.
Our office in Kuala Lumpur serves clients throughout Peninsular Malaysia. We work with individuals navigating general insurance and motor claim difficulties, commercial entities facing liability disputes, and regulated insurance participants seeking compliance support. Each engagement is approached with the same careful attention regardless of scale.
If you are facing a situation that involves an insurer, a policy, or an insurance regulation question, we are available for an initial discussion — with no pressure and no obligation to proceed further after that conversation.
